Dynamic number of graphs based on input filter selection in Crystal Reports

Hi all,

I have a below requirement, which has to be implemented in Crystal Reports 2008.

The number of graphs that report should return is dynamic based on the input filter selection. If the input period filter selection falls into u2018Nu2019 years, the report should return u2018Nu2019 graphical reports.

For example, the period selected is 001.2010 to 004.2011 in the input prompt filter, the report would result in 2 graphical reports (one each for the Calendar years 2010 and 2011). Each yearly graph shows monthly data..

Is there any possible way to achieve this..Please reply your valuable suggestions.

Hi

Yes, this is possible. To get the desired information do the following :

--Create a group based on Year of your database date field

 Now go in Insert menu and insert a chart in your group header.

 This will give you year wise graph.

--If your report contains 5 years then you will get 5 graphs.

It's working..I am new to Crystal Reports and now i got to know the actual importance of Group fields..Thank you so much..
