Batch characteristics value update through LSMW

Hi there,

I need to update a batch characteristics for 3000 batches through LSMW.

I am using Batch/direct input and object - 0150, method - 0000, programe name - RCCTBI01.

I need help in two areas.

1. what are the fields to be mapped? I mapped Material, batch, plant, storage location and characteristics name. anything else am missing here

2. In specify file step, I am getting error "no logical path has been specified". I tried to select logical path "direct link logical path". but still it shows "logical path XXX doest not point to physical location. how to fix this? if you say I need to create a logical path via FILE, how to do that?

if you have authority for cross client customizing, then in 'Specify file' step of LSMW double click the last knot which has the file name of converted data. A pop-up will come up where you can enter a logical file name and path.

(This can be created with transaction FILE if it does not exist..)

Furher there is a very good OSS note 35992 that explains what to do

Futher specific to LSMW there is OSS note 753511 that describes what to do.

Thanks for your swift response. Logical path issue is fixed.

Still I need help on field mapping. What are the fields needs to be mapped if I need to update 3000 batches of a material.

you need to map any field that is needed to find the record that shall be updated

and any field that shall get a new value.
