Subcontracting scenario

For subcontracting i am sending a mateial to the subcontractor where he does the subcontracting work and sends back the same material....

There are 5 qualities of material.....

Say EM01,EM02, EM03, EM04, EM05.. i will be sending to receive the same material as EX01, EX02,EX03,EX04,EX05.

here the requirement is while receiving EX01,2,3,4,5...i have to assign the design number...

if today i send 5 qty of EM01....by the time i receive EM01 that 5 qty each i have to give one Design number....

Is it possible...

    Hi,

Go for Serial Number concept. Create Serial Number Profile for maintaining goods receipt and issue document .Assign Serial Number Profile in material master in Plant data/sto.-2 view and when you do transaction MIGO, then you can enter Serial Number or Design number.
