Automatic Batch Determination at PGI

Dear All,

My requirement is that i want the automatic batch determination at PGI level. Let me tell you how the system works for me.

MY sales dept will raise the sales order and will create the delivery order. Than stores create the PGI. So basically if we can trigger the batch at VL02N than it would suffice my needs.

I dont think we have any standard setting to accomplish the same.

So can someone please tell me if there is any user exit or some other solution to get this sorted out.

You can fulfill the requirement using standard setting. Go to SPRO->Logisitcis-general->batch management->batch determination and batch check->strategy types->define sales and distribution types.Select the startegy type and make entry N (no selection at beginning of batch determination) in the field selection type.By this way the system will not propose any batch during creation of sales order or delivery, but user can select in VL02N or VA02 and the system will check the batch selected against batch search strategy.

Thanx for the reply...........i did put the "N" in strategy type i m using but still batch is automatically getting determined while i create delivery.

Check in t.code VCH2 also by going to the details ->field SelType batch det. Here also the value N should be added as this record might have created before you make changes in SPRO. Note that after correcting here, you need to create a new sales order and delivery to test/check.

Hi,

Step..Item category in sales order should not check batch automatic

Step: Item category in delivery should have batch activation.

Example...

OR ( Document type) Item Category ...ZM01 ( Not relevant for Batch)

OR NORM ZM01

for delivery ,Need create one more item category like ZM02 with batch activation.we should have maintain the delivery item category determination for other item category ZM02...maintain the batch condition master data

LF NORM Usage (Batch) ZM01 (higher level) ZM02

System will generate two line items .One with ZM01 ,other one ZM02 with batch..
