Delta Handling

Dear All,

Could u tell me :

1. Where is the Delta Type set? How? I had used

flatfile to upload delta but did not recall having

to set the delta type.

2. Can I say that a Recordmode=Delta Process?

3. How can I enable Repeat Delta? Or under what

scenario I can have this function?

4. The Update Mode set in the TransferStructure/Trans

Rules section of the InfoSource Definition only

allows for Full/New status ('after' image) /Additive

('additive' image) when I use flat file.

How can I specify to use other images

like 'reverse', 'before' & 'delete'?

I hope for miracle that someone would entertain my queries. I desperately need someone to teach me.

    Dear,

I think that a lot of things you need to know is explained in OSS Note 399739 'Questions and answers on InfoObject 0RECORDMODE'.

    Bye,

    Roberto

      Dear Roberto,

Thanks for that useful note. I now understand where recordmode is created.

      But I am unsure how the system is supplied an image from a Transaction record. Is it from the application level where a user clicks 'Create' = 'new image';

if he changes an existing record, the record is saved with a field indicator saying that it is an 'after image'?

      So, recordmode = Delta process?

      regards,
