ECC 6.0 EhP3 SPS08 Upgrade to ECC 6.0 EhP5 SPS05 RS_GENERATE_PUTTB_SHD Fail

Hi,

We are upgrading from ECC 6.0 EhP3 SPS08 to EhP5 SPS05.

The EhP5 patching is failing in the step PREP_IMPORT/SUBMOD_TOOLIMPORT_POST/RUN_GENPUTTBSHD phase. The file RS_GENERATE_PUTTB_SHD.MED could not be found.

After investigation, the reason the file canu2019t be found is that the ABAP RS_GENERATE_PUTTB_SHD fails to run successfully. It causes an ABAP Dump (ST22):

DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_CURSOR

CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB

We are Win 2008/SQL Server 2008 SR2. Any help would be appreciated. All help from SAP has been directed to SAPEHPi (we have the latest), R3trans (we have the latest) and tp (we have the latest).

This is a standard delivered SAP program.

Any help would be apprecicated.

Thanks for your reply, but that is not our issue. We hare using SAPEHPi 7.00/90. The RS_GENERATE_PUTTB_SHD does exist, but it's failling with a DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_CURSOR / CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB error.
