Backup IP on server

Hi

our client wants to implement B1 on a Citrix enviroment. The installation port had to be changed to 30001 (port 30001 and 30002 are open). Apart from this everything is standard and the installation is completed on server and client. When the user logs on to B1 it takes about 2 minutes untill the main B1 window opens. After that the performance is good. Now we found out that the client wants to communicate with the backup IP of the B1 server and because no backup network card is installed the client runs into a timeout. Is it possible to change this setting?

Regards Reinhard

Hi,

I am not sure what do you refer as Backup IP on server.

B1 will only support one IP. The idea of Backup for IP may not work.

Thanks,

I was also under the impression that B1 only communicates with one IP but apparently when logging on to B1 or when changing companies B1 tries to connect to the Backup IP of the B1 server.

Only one NIC should be enabled in order to increase the login speed. This is a know issue.

Hello Gordon,

it seems that the backup needs the second NIC and cannot be deactivated.Any other solution?

Do you do backup on a network drive? Better not.

Why not?

That makes the backup unreliable.
