buttons do not appear in webtransaction in its620

Hi,

i have got following problem, maybe someone of you has an idea:

i want to call a self-programmed web-transaction using webgui from its 620 (Patch 14). Because its a web-transaction the buttons back, cancel (yellow, green arrow, ..) do not appear on the web page. But buttons from the Push-Button-list ???? (sorry, but i only know the correct word in german: "Drucktastenleiste")should appear (next page, last page, ..).

When i call the transaction or the belonging report (with se38) using sapgui then these buttons appear!

When i call this transaction within my webgui (its620 patch14) these buttons do not appear (no matter if i call the transaction or the report with se38 directly).

I have another ITS-Instance (Patch 12) where these buttons appear correctly when i call the transaction with webgui!!!

I compared all configuration settings of both instances and i could not find any differences. It also cannot be something within R/3 because i configured both instances to access the same R/3 system and client and with one instance the buttons appear and with the other (newer) instance the buttons do not appear.

Has anyone of you an idea ??

Sorry for my poor english but i hope you could understand my problem!

Thanks in advance

Jürgen

Hi Jürgen,

the buttons

not

being displayed is the right behavoir of the ITS.

You declared your service as an EasyWT, the means that it is diplayed in a "light" version. The consequence in this case is, that application buttons are not displayed.

It was a mistake of the ITS in former patches (<12) that the buttons where shown. This has been fixed.

Now everything works as designed.

Thanks for your answer, Sabine!

This seems to be the correct solution. I checked the version from the instance where the buttons do appear and its Patch 11!

I will tell the developer next time he shall try to know and understand what he does

Thanks

Hello Raja,

i checked se93 and the transacrion is specified as Easy Web Transaction.

There are also some hints that the problem does not occur due to SAP R/3 configuration:

With our actual productive instance (ITS620 Patch 12) the buttons appear as they should!

I have now installed an instance of the new Patch 14 version on another server and run this instance exactly against the same R/3-System and the same client.

I have 2 different instances accessing exactly the same R/3-System and the the same client. With on instance the buttons appear...with the other instance (located on another server)the buttons don't appear.

But thanks for your response, too!

Hello Edgar,

thanks for you fast reply, but there does not exist any service-file for this transaction. I thought there are mainly only service-, mime- and template-files for IAC's which you are publishing from R/3 (W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES) or copy during installation for example from 46C_ALL.SAR!

I only call this transaction within webgui:

http:///scripts/wgate/webgui/!

Here i log in and call the transaction (or call se38 and execute the corresponding program). There does not exist any service file for that 'abap-program'!

Check the transaction definition at SE93 for transaction classification to see whether Easy Web Transaction radio button is selected.

Hello,

I'm not sure if I understand the problem correctly, but it sounds like you have "~webguitransactiontype EWT" in the one where the buttons do not show up. That would be in the service file of the transaction you have called.
