Hello,

Requirement is to maintain description of Jobs defined with /sapapo/mc8e in multiple languages.

I checked table /SAPAPO/TSPLBT and there I can see Language Key field as well but in front end while defining job using /sapapo/mc8e, I could not find any option of defining description in multiple languages.

Quick response from you all APO masters will be appriciated.

Thanks and regards,

Devang

Hi Devang,

You can acheive this by maintaining entries directly in the table /SAPAPO/TSPLBT.

Go to transaction SE16. enter the table name and click 'Table Contents' button.

In the next screen, execute the selection. The list of entries will appear. In this screen, you can find a 'Create' button.

Click that. Enter your job name, select the language, enter the description in the selected language. Save.

Now, based on the logon language, you can see the job description in /SAPAPO/MC8E transaction.

Hello Manimaran,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

As you mentioned, we can maintain description directly in table but I am not sure if that will be the correct way as maintaining values directly in table may result into inconsistencies.

As Language Key is available in table /SAPAPO/TSPLBT, my guess is some option should be available in front end as well to maintain description in multiple languages. And I am not finding that option in job maintenance transactions.

Hope I was able to explain my concerns.

Thanks and regards,

Devang

Hi Devang,

Even I do not find any other options.

But my understanding is 'maintaining description in multiple language level directly in the table will not make any impact'. Since depending upon the logon language, it simply goes to read the description from the table and display it. Also the table '/SAPAPO/TSPLBT' is just a table to maintain texts only.

Manimaran M.

Devang,

Did you try logging on in each of the alternative languages, and perform the maintenance?

Entries maintained in table but not sure if this is correct solution.
