Creating inspection lots for inspection type 10- Customer specific

Hi all,

I have to address the below scenario.

In a process industry a material say u201CXXXu201D will be supplied to n number of customers, say u201CY1, Y2, Y3u201D etc.

My requirement is, only for particular customers inspection lot has to be created before delivery. i.e inspection type 10.

Let me explain in detail.

The material u201CXXXu201D supplied to Y1 customer will have MICu2019s u201CA1 and A2u201D

The same material u201CXXXu201D supplied to Y2 customer will have MICu2019s u201CB1 and B2u201D

For the material u201CXXXu201D supplied to Y3 customer there are no MICu2019s and inspection lot shouldnu2019t generate.

I had done the following to address this issue.

1. Activated inspection type u201810u2019 in the material master for material u201CXXXu201D

2. Maintained Quality info record: SD and activated quality inspection before delivery for the customer Y1 and material u201CXXXu201D combination and also for customer Y2 and material u201CXXXu201D combination. For the customer Y3 I didnu2019t maintain the info record.

3. Created inspection plan for the material u201CXXXu201D with two Group counters. In the material assignment I assigned Y1 customer for counter 1 and Y2 customer for counter2

4. Created sales order (MTO scenario)

5. Converted the planned order to process order

6. Confirmed the process order

7. Created Delivery

8. Inspection lot gets generated

For the Y1 and Y2 customer, the inspection lot is getting generated with relevant MICu2019s assigned in the counters, no issue in this.

For the customer Y3 inspection lot is getting generated and it is in CRTD status, because I didnu2019t assign the Y3 customer in material assignment.

My requirement here is for the customer Y3 inspection lot should not get generated.

Please give your inputs to address this scenario.

Hi

Please maintain SD info record also for cutomer Y3 and material combination. In material specific info details maintain the below.

Instead of maintaining "Before delivery" option Maintain Quality inspection "By customer" option. Then inspection lot will not be generated for the material and customer combination.

My problem got solved, i selected, quality inspection by customer and inspection lot didn't generate
