Hi,
We are running crystal reports (CRXI R2) using Info view/CMC in (BOE R2/R3.1). We are upgrading BOE form R2 to R3.1 and during this process we are encountering the following issue:
Few crystal reports are using SQL Server 2005 stored procedure as source. When a report (Reports have parameters) is viewed from Info view using CR viewer 11.5 in BO R2 they run good. In R3 for the same report when viewed from Info view using CR viewer 12, first time we are getting the results page without data. We could see only the data entered as TEXT during the design. Only after refreshing the viewer once (without making any changes) it passes the parameters and the report runs returning data.
We have observed in SQL profiler that the report is repeatedly passing NULL parameters and after refreshing the viewer once (without making any changes) it passes the parameters and the report runs returning data.
Since I am not getting any errors, no idea where to trouble shoot.
I appreciate if someone could suggest: whether is there any setting changes required to make the reports return data on first attempt when viewed.
Appreciate early response.
Thanks
Chen
Hi All,
The resolution for the problem " Crystal Report returns blank for the first run u201D is:
Symptom
After uploading the report to BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1, when the report is viewed on demand with required parameters it always yields blank report for the first run, if we refresh the report, data is returned.
Environment
BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 Service Pack 3
Resolution
Perform the following Steps.
1. Log in to Central Management Console (CMC) with Administrator Account.
2. Open 'Servers' settings.
3. Open the properties of Crystal Report Processing Server.
4. Add the following lines at the end of Command line parameter section:
-procreportoptions __forceApplyParamsAfterDBL and
-procreportoptions __noverifydatabase
