Activation of EA-PS component

Hi Experts,

Would you tell me if activation of EA-PS component affects the functionality of other components in a client that has already SAP ECC 6.0 ?

Hi Jose,

You have to activate PSM component carefully, as after activation for example posting will be done with account assigment like Funds Center / Commitment Item as mandatory.

I have activated EA-PS, but the job was canceled because my user role doesn't have permission for authority object S_BCSETS.

I have asked to add it to my user role.

Next, How can I execute the job again?

BCS functions doesn't appears in Menu and IMG.

Hi José Luis,

As far as i know, if you wanto to activate PSM in your system there are some steps that you should have.

Transaction SPRO - ENTERPRISE_EXTENSIONS -- check is EA-Ps component is activate "Status" ON.

You have to "Public Sector Management" section on SPRO, check Funds Management Government --> Basic Settings --> Activate Global Funds Management Functions (PSM-FM) --> PSM-FM active sould be SET.

At this moment, also you should have User menu inside SAP MENU -- ACCOUNTING -- Public Sector Management.

Hi José Luis,

EA-PS component is actived, however en SPRO doesn't appear Public Sector Management option.

Yesterday the activation job of EA-PS was canceled because my user didn't have an Authoritie Object. Is there another way to reexecuted the job?

1. Activating EA-PS:

Activate the EA-PS functions in Customizing.

Menu path: Public Sector Management / Funds Management Government/

Basic Settings / Activate Global Funds Management Functions (PSM-FM

If no activation is possible (error: no BC SET ... authorization",

see Note 544035. The report RFFM_ACTIVATE_BCSETS, which is provided

here, must be processed. When you log on to the system again, the

settings will be available.

Hi Experts,

I asked to restore a backup of the system. Next, I asked to assign me SAP_ALL. Then I activated EA-PS component without troubles.

Now I'm customizing SAP BCS.

Hi All,

My apologies for bumping in to an old thread but looked like the discussions here seemed to be in line with the problem I'm facing.

I had activated Funds Management in the system (SPRO -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government -> Basic Settings -> Activate Global Funds Management Functions PSM-FM) and tried creating a new material for testing purposes.

But I got an error message that I need to Define a Leading Ledger. But when I tried to assign 0L as the leading ledger, it said that GFL already has a leading ledger assigned. And when I checked the T881 table for the leading ledger I could see GFL as the sub-application instead of PSM, which should be the case when PSM-FM is activated.

I tried assigning budget but there too I am facing a dump (GETWA NOT ASSIGNED), possibly due to an indirect method of assignment due to inactive funds management module. (My Guess..)

Is there anything else that I need to undertake to activate PSM and also to change this sub-application in the table to PSM ?

Problem solved after running FMGL_CHANGE_APPL_IN_LEDGER and other applications like GLPLINSTALL and FMCN after activating PSM-FM for the first time.
