Preventive Maint - Notification duplicating when Work Order is being saved

In IW28, reviews the open notifications and open a work order to view. When exit the work order a prompt asks the user if they want to save. When the user clicks yes to save the work order a new notification number is created. This is occurring in preventative maintenance plans and especially in plans that have multiple maintenance Item.

Hello Ram,

This could be possible because of Notification and order type default configuration.

kindly check for the preventive maint order type in the following path:

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance and Service Processing->Maintenance and Service Orders->Functions and Settings for Order Types->Define Notification and Order Integration

Remove the notification tick in front of order type and then check again

Hi Naveen,

i have checked as per your advice, here system is not generating any notification so we can't able to see in IW28 transaction.

Requirement is after Maintenance plan (having multiple item)schedule system will generate the order and notification with one to one combination.

Current Issue is order not recognising notification or not updated in the notification field so While save the workorder a new notification number is created.

In the config path

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance and Service Processing->Maintenance and Service Orders->Functions and Settings for Order Types->Define Notification and Order Integration

1. In the above path if you include the Notification tick mark , then you would find Notification no in order header , you can change notification -Here notification created in background ..

2. In the above path if you remove the Notification tick mark , then you will find a create button of Notification in order , when we try to click create button , system creates notification and attaches to the order.., system provides disconnect button for notification in this case ..

3. You can add more Notifications via Object list of Order , if you want to avoid this then check via user exit IWO10009 PM Order: Customer Check for 'Save' Event
