J2EE Engine does not restart during instalaltion of XI3

This during the instalaltion XI3.0 (non SR1)

I installed ABAP+J2EE Addon on Win 2000 Server Sp3.

performed the preinstall steps as per XI install guide.

I could start Visua Admin tool at this stage.

Started XI installation. All the users ot installed. J2EE got stopped. Further installationw as done. But when SAPINST tried to restart J2EE engine, it could not do so. Error message returned was CJS-20024 aborting instalaltion failing to restart J2EE engine after 800 secs.

I am not able to access http://<host>:50000

Visual Admin tool also wont start now.

Please advise.
