Dear All,
Is it possible to classify an Operation / Sub Operation with in a maintenance order.
Hi Vaibhav Mishra,
I have already defined work center as the section & assigned all the personnel no. in that section to the work center.
based on work center i can categorise the work as Elect / Mech job
Now i need to assign the operations / sub operations to the different Personnel based on the type of operation.
For ex: Vehicle Maintenance - Type of Job - 1.Body work 2.Engine work
We cannot use Standard text Key as it being used for other activity.
Thanks & Regards
Brijesh

If it is really mandatory and you would like to stick to standards then use operation un-numbered user status and give your options. This will only work if your options are limited and fixed.
I don't see this as promising and I don't find any other field which can cater to this need of classification.
HI Ketul Odich,
My requirement is to classify the operations in such a way that i can assign the particular set of Operations to concerned group of Personnel.

If I'm correct, classification is not possible at operation level. Assignment of personnel can be done through work center or requirement profile/job/position, which you can get after clicking on 'Internal' on any selected operation.
This will work only if you have HR module implemented.

Ketul
Hello Brijesh,
You want to assign a group of persons on a particular operation. It is already available in SAP Standard. Maintenance Work
Center is basically the group of persons responsible for execution of maintenance job. You may assign the personal number in
maintenance work center data in IR01/02 in HRMS data. The same personal numbers will appear if you select that particular
operation and click on internal button. Here you may use the faculity of sub-operation also. You can't assign two maintenance
work centers on one operation at a time. Therefore it is recommended to use sub-operation facility.

Vaibhav Mishra
I doubt, what is the business requirement? Why you want to classify an operation?

Ketul
