Same material price in many company codes in one client

Hi experts,

There is a situation like this:

We have a client with many company codes defined and cross-company billing will be set.

Actually the company codes belong to one legal entity but according to some needs it is decided that there will be division in company codes. The company codes have plants. Cross-company stock transfer will be used as well.

The problem that will appear is that since all the company codes belong to one legal entity the material price has to be the same in all company codes. So if I receive materials in company A it must affect the material price in company B as well. The client says that this is a remark from the revision that they have.

Is there any practice for this situation?

Some way for controlling the valuation calculation and update?

I can see that in the table MBEW I can find the quantities and values for each Valuation area and maybe recalculate after every MIGO and MIRO? Or?

Any idea would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ilina

Normally if you have the same material price across the company then valuation level is set at company code level so that system will take care all the material valuation. Can you clarify more on organization structure ? Are you implementing the SAP from legacy?
