R3COPY from Win 2003 (32 bit) /MSSQL 2005 to Win 2008 (64bit) /MSSQL 2008

Hi expert

I am planning to do system copy. The source and target system are as follows.

[Source system ]

Windows 2003 (32bit)

MS SQL 2005

[Target System]

ERP 6.0

Windows 208 (64bit)

MS SQL 2008

Can I use R3COPY technique to do the copy? (meaning replacment of DB files and SID change after wards)

Thank you

During database restore you can able to change database SID.

While perfoming SAP Instanace installation using system copy method, you can able to change SAP SID.

Use system copy method using database specific backup/restore.
