Finding out the IDs of the storage devices or volumes.

I am new to SAP and I need your help.

Is there any way we can find out the IDs of the volumes/LUNs on the storage devices which are used in a SAP system to store data.

It is not possible to see the LUN defined on storage devices on SAP. But you can monitor file system on OS06 -> Detail analysis menu -> Filesys

On the other hand, there must be some tools specific to your hw to show that information

Yes, you can certainly do that.

now, your next question will be: how to do that?

our next question will be: what are your SAP/Os/DB versions? what is the manufacturer of the SAN? which model?
