SAP Content Server without SAPDB ?

Hello

We try to connect the SAP Content Server 6.20 to a MS SQL 2000 Server.

At this time it works fine with SAPDB 7.3.

In CSADMIN I put the new Server and the new ODBC Driver (before: LiveCache - after: SQL Server).

The Default User SAPR3 is created on the SQL Server and has all rights.

Now the Problem is that i can't create any file on the Database everytime i try this, the content Server show me following in the LOG:

CreateTab ContentStorage, connect error SQLConnect failed, [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Neighter DSN nor Server Keyword was asigned, Error Code 0

Can anybody help me

Greats Jan

    Hello,

I'm not a specialist on this issue, buit to my knowledge Livecache is pure SAP technology and does not allow to use any other DB then SAP DB.

    Regards,

    Benny

    • Dear Jan,

SAP DB is the only supported DBMS for use with the SAP Content Server (CS). The DBMS that accesses the SAP DB CS can be another, but <b>not</b> the one that is used directly by the CS.

Hope that explains why your issue shows up.

      Kind regards,

      Roland
