Asset retirement error AA 378 (Group Asset)

Hi Experts,

When I try to retirement of asset following Error message coming

u201CPartial retirement or transfer of prior-yr acquis. Not possible Message no. AA378.u201D

Here we used group asset concept and Values are uploaded in as91 and As81. Group asset no value showing under the AW01n.Few Observations for asset inconsistency data

Uploaded values are showing differently for main asset in Aw01n book depreciation area have values and same not reflection under the tax depreciation area. Current year acquisition is showing both depreciation areas.

When I tried in retirements, asset line items values are showing under the book depreciation area only. In tax depreciation area showing Zero values resulting above error.

Please guide me how to resolve issue,

Thanks and Regards

Venkat

    Hi Venkat,

The problem is due to the fact that the asset is linked to a group asset.

The group asset has value but the asset not.

To be able to post the retirement on the asset, you should temporarily limit the retirement transaction type to dep. area 01.

You can do this in transaction OAXB.

    regards Bernhard
