Init and Full Repair but data missing for new fields

Former Member

Hello All,

2 new fields were introduced in the extractor Sales doc type and valuation type. To make sure that the new fields data is available for historical data, I did a init without data transfer and then a Full repair.

But the data these 2 new fields for some months in between still missing. I cross checked these Sales orders in the source systems - these 2 new fields are not empty.

I do not know where and how can I check how to get the values for these 2 fields in all the historical data.

Regards,

NIKEKAB

Hi,

If you want historical data for the two new fields, you should have done init with transfer after dropping the entire contents from the Infoprovider.

How to proceed now:

Just run Repair Full for the missing months data.

Hi ,

Follow below steps:

1. Check the Fields mapping in transfermations.

2. Do the Full repair for getting the historical data for new fields.

Hi,

for historical data fill up the setup table and you have to do init with data transfer.

Thanks,

Have you filled the Setup tables for the required period? Because you said that data for some months is missing and not all.

Simply doing a Repair Full will do not good.

Also, prior to pulling the data into BI, check the data in your source system..

Once confirmed, you can load the data into BI.

Hello Vishal,

How can I fill the setup tables for a particular period?

And now since I have already done a repair full, is it fine if I do another repair full after filling the setup table?

Or do i have to do a init without data transfer again?

How does a Reapir full request look like in the Manage of the DSO??

You can fill the setup based on a particular date range/ Document number.

And you can run the repair full only for that period (apply selection filter in the infopackage).

You need not run another INIT. Repair full will do the trick.

To avoid duplicacy, you may have to delete the data for that particular period.. But its only a DSO.

Data will be over-written. I guess theres no harm in loading the particular data again.

But, for the sake of safety, do the repair full for a couple of days or even for a single Document Number.

The repair full will not disturb your existing Delta (already setup thru' the INIT without data transfer you performed)

And this looks just like any other request. In the manage tab, it will show you a 'repair full' text.

Hi

If you know exactly for which you are not getting for 2 new fields, then follow the below steps

1)fill the setup table for that particular period.

2)run the repair full request to load this data to DS and from DS to DSO

3)in manage tab of DSO, 4th or 5th column you will find text as "repair full" for full repair request.

the remaining two loads are Delta load and full load.
