Subject of Email is missing in other languge in which WF is not developed

Hi Experts,

I have copied one Workflow development from one server to other server and working fine except below things.

WF developed in EN and need to use in DE as well.

1. Subject is coming properly in EN but for DE taking the subject from standard task , BASIC DATA tab, Abbrevatio or Name ...

which i am not able to rectify. i am not required to translate in DE , have to send email as it is in EN. but subject is only missing

and everything is working fine. Can you please suggest me here ?

2. For the (sent) From email address instead of email something like WF_USER , i have to display like below :

densapwfadmin

If it is development server, i have to display like : DENSAPWFADMIN

for quality : QUASAPWFADMIn

for production: PRESAPWFADMIn

Ans. Your problem here is not clear...Is this a Work Item or mail ?.. Is your subject missing with Work Item in DE ?...

Ans. Are you using talking about Extended notification here?... or just about mail step in your workflow?...

Maintain different First Name, Last name and Email address for WF-BATCH in development, Quality and Production...

This might help you...

Note: This might not work if you have CUA implemented in your systems...

2) As far as I know you cannot change the sender in the standard WF email sending step.

You could perhaps build your own step and in the step call some of the SAP provided email sending functions (for example dule SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1) to send the email. I think that you can change the sender for example with the function that I mentioned.

If it is OK that you don't change the sender, but instead the text of the email (for example: "Please note that this email is sent from test system"), you can do this with some simple coding in the work item description.

IF systemID = DEV.

Please note that this email is sent from test system

ENDIF.

1) Why don't you just translate the text in DE? I think that it is normal that if the work item description is not maintained in some language, it will show the task name.
