Credit Control Area

Hi Experts,

I want to what is the significance of credit control area in t codes like F-28,F-29. When a document is posted in FI in my case it gets filled with my co code. I am thinking to make use of it while posting documents in these t codes for some reporting purpose. Will anyone shed some light on it.

    Hi Richard:

Concept of credit control area KKBER comes from credit management . Credit control areas are defined at enterprise level just like co codes, in your case it seems that co codes have been treated as credit control areas in FI and same have been assigned to SD module , hence customer;s credit limit will be maintained by co code area wise in FD32. Right? If this is so then all FI documents will automatically updated by KKBER. Please note that KKBER is not changeable once an entry is posted with it and if you want to change its hierarchy then it will a cumbersome task which will e major change in organizational structure change. Hope it clears your doubt.
