Hi all,
We have just done a PI upgrade to 2004.1 During the upgrade the delta extraction method was switched between V3 unserialised to queued delta in error.
I emptied the queued delta data and switched back to V3 to get the missing records but a number of records appeared in the qRFC queue timed after the extract for some 4 hours after the clearing of the queue even though V3 was working.
We now have some 45 recs in qRFC that we need to get into BW but V3 is currently switched on.
Any ideas how to get this over to BW without reinit or losing data ?
Also - is it better to use queued delta instead of V3 unserialised for inventory movements - 2lis_03_bf ?
Thanks
Hi Chris,
to have an overview on LBWE and related delta methods (and to have all the elements required to do a choice among them and better understand all delta mechanism) you can refer to this weblog and its previous episodes: /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/01/19/logistic-cockpit-delta-mechanism--episode-three-the-new-update-methods .
However, when you say 'I emptied the queued delta data and switched back to V3 to get the missing records' I don't exactly understand what's happened...if records were collected on queue (and have you load them or deleted ?), there is no possibility to retrieve same data with V3 and I think you have to reinit your flow (however I think you have to reinit it anyway because it's possible that unserialized method cannot satisfy your data model requirements...)
However, please refer also to OSS Note 380078 'FAQ BW delta queue (RSA7): Questions and answers' to clear some doubts and, refer to OSS support for any inconsistency that you are not able to solve...
Hope it helps!
Bye,
Roberto
