Permissions and EP6 SR1

We have just installed EP6 SR1. I find that my systems connections to my backend systems will only work for my users if I assign one of the roles that the users have (e.g eu_role) to the permissions of the connections, and check the "end user" flag.

Is this a bug because for our previous version of the portal (EP6 SP7) I did not have to do this and the connection worked.

As it stands I have to assign a suitable role to every connection I create!

I am also having other problems with iviews that will only work for the user if they have the role of "super_admin_role".

Anyone got any ideas.
