Default shipping type

When adding new item master data, shipping type defaults to 1, how can i change the default to shipping type 2?

Hi,

What is the name of these two shipping types? Based on my testing, the default shipping type is based on alphabetical order.

Hi Gordon,

Yes, I think you are right. The two shipping types are UPS and Canada Post. I want UPS to be the default.

I changed the name to _UPS and now it comes in as default. Is this advisable to do or is there any other way?

Hi Maeve.........

It is a good idea beside you dont mind of printing the same name as _UPS on your Print Layout.........

But by default you can set the first one whichever letter comes first.......

Your solution is a good work around. Whatever character before A that you think ok can be there. _ is probably better than others.

Hi,

The default shipping type appears in aplhabetical order. If you want to change the order you can prefix with number say 1 to the code which you want to have as default appearing at top and then evern if it starts with a later alphabet in the alphabetic order you would have the number 1 prefixed appearing.

Check if the same helps.
