Cost Object for PGI and STO Process

Hello Gurus,

We are doing MTO scenario , here cost of goods sold account I created as cost element (Cost ele category 1) while I am doing STO Process and PGI , system asking the cost object for cost of good sold account .so I made default cost center for profit center vise in OKB9 ,now PGI is getting Posted but STO process still system is showing the Cost object error message .

Here my doubt is

1.While doing the PGI cost center is debited total amount , is it correct , if it is wrong please correct me.

2.PGI is getting posted but , STO is not happening , what could be the reason

3.Both the scenario , In my point of view system should take automatically sales order as cost object ,

why system is asking the cost object

This is urgent issue , can anyone give me reply

    Hi Sri,

    In MTO sales order demand created for STO material.when you convert this demand to purchase order,purchase order account assignment is Sales order line item.when you do GR(MIGO) ,Costs and QTY posted to sales order line item.

    Sales order line item is cost object and No need to post costs to cost center.
