Hi all,
I read some articles that state the Cache Update is done automatically when "the Object Change list" on ID is activated.
In my case, after activating the list, the cache update is still with status "waiting for starting" even if all notifications have green light.
Is anyone know how the cache update from ID to IS is technically done ?
Is there any setting to change or to activate to perform the automatic cache update ?
Thanks for answer
Nicolas
Hi Nicolas,
Cache Refresh/Update should work out of the box without
any special configuration (going further than the
installation guide). Maybe you want to check the process
in the Transaction SXI_CACHE on the integration server.
If that does not help you try to manually start it there.
If this effort is still in vain try to read the log files
on the directory.
The URL is http://<your_ID_server>:<port>/dir/support/public/
Maybe you have to adjust the log configuration in the
"Edit Memory-Log configuration". But be aware that
high log setting may slow down a productive system.
Best wishes,
Hermann

Hi Nicolas,
hi Hermann,
we've the same problem with the xi_cache. Changes could not refresh automatically. Manuel works this without any problems. SM21 relay first an Authority problem for User XIRWBUSER - no authority for RFC.
Next we saw in SM21 that user XIDIRUSER has the problem to update the xicache. All hints given there wasn't helpful. Every check are green only warnings are given.
We try debug mode as Hermann wrote as answer to your error without success.
--> xi 3.0 Stack 09
Many thanks for your attention.

Hi Hermann,
This URL is very helpful for analysis...but I am still investigating.
In debugging mode, I got these messages:
com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.language not found
com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.pwd not found
com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.name not found
I assume these parameters are taken from Exchange profile but they are all correct indeed.
My SLD system is not part of the XI system, it is standalone J2EE engine...do you think it could be a problem to retrieve communication parameters ?
Thanks for reply.
Regards
Nicolas
