Navigation Buttons

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to connect UDO object with a form created with Screen Painter. There's no problem but when trying to run Navigation Buttons I've got an error. The code I'm using is:

oXMLDoc.load("c:\UDO.xml")

oCreatioParams = oApplication.CreateObject(SAPbouiCOM.BoCreatableObjectType.cot_FormCreationParams)

oCreatioParams.BorderStyle = SAPbouiCOM.BoFormBorderStyle.fbs_Fixed

oCreatioParams.FormType = "EXP_0001"

oCreatioParams.ObjectType = UDOName

oCreatioParams.UniqueID = GetUniqueID()

oCreatioParams.XmlData = oXMLDoc.xml

oForm = oApplication.Forms.AddEx(oCreatioParams)

oForm.Visible = True

if I add this line

'oForm.DataBrowser.BrowseBy = "txtCode" ' AFS

I've got an error: "An unhandled expection of type

'System.Runtime.Interopservices.COMException'occurred"

Other question is:

I'd need to link fields from Screen Painter to this table created with UDO. I've tried to do this with TableName property in Screen Painter but there's an error. How can I do that???

Regards.

    Hi Angel, when creating your form why dont you add the line "'oForm.DataBrowser.BrowseBy = "txtCode"? Then your Xml file will contain that tag.

    I think that in your Xml data the following line is missing: <DataBrowser BrowseBy="txtCode" />

    before Form end tag ends: </form>

    With it you should not have any further problems.

    Also be sure that the UDO object exist in the Company!!

    Hi Angel,

    Is your txtCode a valid it_EDIT item inside your form?

    Is it linked to a dbdatasource?

    Is it linked to a field that is a key for your table?

    To link your edit text to a table/field using Screen Painter you must put the name of the table in the property TableName and the name of the field in the Alias property (both inside the Specific properties).

    Hope it helps

    Trinidad.
