Not able to view workset content

Former Member

Hi,

When I login to sap portal with userid and password of user, then by dafault workset conent should open in the iview content area. But instead of that I am getting a personalization page which is being displayed in the iview content area. The workset has got entry point as true. The user has got only one specific role which contains only one workset and several pages under the workset. If user clicks on the workset once again then the content is being displayed but not by default when the user logs into the portal.

Can you kindly help me out regarding the same?

Thanks,

Ranjita

Ranjita,

Check the property "Initial State of Navigation" for the workset, if it is being set to Automatic

Hope this helps.

The property "Initial State of Navigation" is already Automatic.

Also, we have a main workset which contains 5 worksets inside that. Once the user logs in to the portal the main workset is getting selected but not the first child workset autometically. Once the user once again clicks on the main workset the child one is getting selected. This is what the main problem happening.

Can you kindly advice?

Ranjita,

Try changing the leaf folder property of the top most workset and test.

Hi Ranjita,

If you have a structure as below

role -entry point set true(First Level of TLN)

---workset1 (Second Level of TLN)

-

workset2 (Detailed Navigation)

-

iView1

-

iView2

-

Workset3

-

iView3

-

-

Workset4

then you need to manually change the iView1 property 'default Entry point for folder' as yes then the iview will open directly. If this is not what the structure you are maintaining then kindly provide us the structure then we can think of a solution.

Hi Ranjita,

1.If your portal is configured with cache then try clearing cache after each change.

2.Why dont you use folder instead of the workset and try?

3.Try setting the Initial State of Navigation Panel as open for the workset2 and default entry for the folder yes for the page1

4.What is the version of portal you are using?

Hi Naga,

1. "Intial state of navigation panel" property is present for pages and iviews ,Its not for worksets and here in page1,this property is "automatic".I changed the property to "open"but still its not working.I cleared the cache also.

2. "Default entry point for folder" for page1 is already "yes".

3.version of the portal is 7.0 SP.

Kindly advice.
