Input ready query not working

Hi Experts,

This is what I did.

Created a Real time cube. Put that Cube in a multicube. Created an aggregation level on the Multicube. Didn't create any filters or planning functions.

Created a query on top of aggregation level and turned on check boxes for Key figures as "Input ready Relavent for locking".

Now if I run the report, i get an error message saying there is no data to display.

Can I get some help?

Thanks,

DV

    Hi DV

Where are you running the query?

If you have no data for the selection and the query met all prerequisites you should be able to enter rows. But that is only possible if you open the query using bex analyzer or if you define a webtemplate and assign such query. In case of using a webtemplate you have to choose how many new rows you want to see. By default it is 0.

In the RSRT, you cannot create new rows. If you run it directly from query designer, it will open the query using the 0analysis_pattern and it has 0 for new rows.

The easiest way to check is opening the query with bex analyzer.I hope this helps.

Make sure that the Filters defined in the Query are as per the requirement.

Also, check your RKF's. Are you restricting them with some value that you're not supposed to?

Well, for simplicity, just create the query without any filters and restrictions.

Just use the proper charateristics & KF. Check the data after loading the cube & putting it in the Plan Mode.

    hi,

This might be that you could have put restriction for characteristics in query which have no records combination in cube.

Best thing to test is , just remove all restriction if you have applied on characteristics in query in query designer.

Just put characteristics in rows and keyfigures in columns.

Don't put anything in characteristic restriction area.

Just save and simply execute the query.

If you get the correct output, then you apply the restriction for characteristics with correct combination which should

    fetch data from the cube.

I hope this will help you.

    Amit

    Hi.

If you get an error message saying there is no data to display it means that you don't have data to display.

If you want to create new lines and enter a data to those lines you should use additional interface, like WAD over Bex queriy.

You can refer to the[ following document |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/e0568315-7727-2d10-d4ba-88ab69e16577]describing step by step how to create simple application.

    Regards.
