Create a predifined property.

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a predefined property with KM 6.

The property should point to a related document that stores at the same KM (Related documents).

I need to browse in the repository and select one file or more (only files and not folders).

Can anyone tell me what if there is out-of-the-box solution for that ??

I tried to use HTML type for the property but the insert KM link is not working well and does not have a browse option.

1. How can I make this property to function ?

2. Is the a way to make this function to show browse button ??

Thanks

Amit

    Hi Amit,

There is an option to create predefined property. You need to go to

System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services - > Property Metadata -> Propeties

Under this u will all the SAP predefined properties available. You can also add your predefined property here.

But i don't know whether this will serve your purpose.

Can you please explain in detail what is the scenario that you are trying to acheive and what have you done so far?

    Regards

    Prakash

    • Hi Amit,

for your property scenario you need a kind of own maintanance renderer. Therefor you can implement the IStructuredPropertyRenderer interface and assign your own renderer to the property. You than have to possibility to maintain links e.g. in teh details iView.

      Best regards,

      Thilo
