Hi experts,
Client is having performance related issues with BPC MS 7.5.
I will be talking with them today to get details but what I know so far is queries getting long time to run.
- Can someone please provide me some best practices or known issues related with performance?
- What questions I should be asking the client?
Following are the versions used:
BPC 7.5
Excel 2010
SQL 2008 R2
Windows 2008 64 bit
Reporting seems OK, input schedules are causing delays.
To open a drop down to select a cost center takes about 15 seconds on average.
To enter and populate the data takes about the same.
Sending the data takes about 40 seconds on average.
Apps not installed on users' computers, they are using virtual environment.
Performance gets worse if number of users increases.

Hi,
You will have performance issues if you are using virtual environments. I have seen degradation in performance in virtual machine even on development system; with less amount of data. But when I access the same server without virtual machine, the performance is far better.
I would suggest you to take this factor into consideration.
Hope this helps.
