Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API

I am getting an error while loading data from 0customer_attr Datasource.( it is delta update from R/3 to BW)

Error Message: Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API.

Detail Error Message :

Diagnosis

The application program for the extraction of the data was called using

update mode R . However, this is not supported by the InfoSource.

System response

The data extraction is terminated.

Please let me know how to solve this issue.

    Hi Eswar,

    there is a SAP OSS Note 545970 related to a similar problem, but referring to article attributes...maybe you have to ask for some SAP support...

    I have been through this problem a year back and could not find any "proper" solution....ended up re-initialising and reloading the master data and didn't come across it again.
