Authorisation PU01 - Deletion of Payroll Results

Dear Experts,

I have a query where in the users are asking for the Authorisation for the T-Code PU01 which I refused due to the sensitivity of the t-code.

Now in order to convince the management I need to tell them the risks involved i could write few i need few more very convincing risks, kindly let me know.

the first and formost , why do the users want the authorisation for PU01.let say

in case of any wrong master data was updated and payroll has been ran for the employee , so the result which are updated in the PCL cluster were wrong .... so in order to rectify that we need to delete ( once the live payroll is run and posting is done and if we reverse the posting document and again if we set the control record and run the payroll live we will get the mesage payroll results already executed ) so in these cases we need the above tcode

So instead of telling the risk of useing PU01 , Tell wht more can we do to not to use the Tcode so that they will be more carefull while execute the payroll activity

1.we can run simulation run 100 times wehre we can verify the data and the results

2.still if the users are admant for that give authorisation for only one user who is supervisor for the users

Thanks that is ok but i need some real time sensitivity towards the usage of t-code as to by mistake deletion or somebody may misuse it many time.

1.Why do they use it very often and how they mis use this tcode ?

2.As discussed please try to minimize the autorisation of this tcode for the users ,so that those people who have access towards it will not dare to touch the results , Since anything related to this deletion will be liable by them. and we cannot predict the results of the deletion and misuse of the tcode since i may have different set of problems .

Adding to Sikinder inputs.

1. If you Explain to client the dis-advantages of this t-code they also think to avoid this

2. Allow the access for only one of the user with -Pre cautions

3. Hoever you cann't restrict the user in this case

I hope u can give this access user in rare cases it may help users.
