Understanding Life and Work Events

Hi,

I have certain queries regarding Life and Work events under ESS. Appreciate if anyone can clear those.

1. Are all the processes provided to every employees by default. Like "My First Day" process is showing for all the employees which should not be the case.

2. Is there any standard method through which the process will be activated only on the fulfillment of certain conditions like once an employee submits resignation then only the "Termination" process will get activated.

3. Once a process is completed will the process status be saved somewhere in the ECC system to be checked by the Administrator/Manager.

4. There are certain processes like Birth of a Child, Marriage which can occur more than once in an employee's lifetime. Can these processes be activated back once completed by the user before.

Regards

Deb

How do you wish to differentiate between employees. There is an ESS Role and whomsoever will have that role...will be able to see services based on Homepage framework configuration. If you wish that only few users must be able to see "My First Days" link...then either you will have to create 2 separate roles and homepage frameworks for each...

If you wish to infact differentiate on the basis of processes available in "My First Days"...then you will have to further create more guided procedure processes and link them with services in Homepage Framework.

Below link will give you an idea on how these life and work events are created :

I only have an understanding on your first question....

I will also be looking forward for resolution of rest of your queries by some expert here.

      Hi Saurabh,

      Thanks for the nice clrification.

I am waiting for someone to explain how the process are activated for diff employees based on fullfillment of a criteria. Is it dependent on IT 0378 for that specific employee? I mean will a user will be able to see the process for say "New Child Born" only when the corresponding subtype "CHIL" of IT 0378 is active for that employee during that particular period.

      Waiting for someone to clarify.

      Regards

      Deb
