Data Archiving 101

Hello all, I have a simple data archiving question I've been troubled with recently.

I'm doing the recommended pre-checks before I run the data archive wizard, and am having trouble with open items. When I run the open items list report, I have many old documents open (in my SBODemoUS), and was wondering if there's any way for me to close them all systematically so I can begin the archiving process.

For example, when I run the report, one of the items is an A/P invoice that was based on a goods receipt PO and a purchase order before it, but I can't close it.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

If you have many open items, you can try DTW to close them. That is probably the most efficient way to speed the process up. It may not be easy to close them by DTW though.

    Thanks,

    Gordon

Have you tried manual close those documents? What message did you get if any? Most financial transactions have to be closed by reversal documents. Such as Credit Memo to close Invoice. Or you can reconcile them directly.

To close an AP Invoice you will need to create a credit memo, or use an internal reconciliation
