WAS-BSP problem

Hello All,

We are using menu-role based Mangement cockpit using BSP application.

To change one webreport, i have opend the WAD, but it has asked for the new password, and i have given new password. When I try to access the same webtemplate in the management cockpit it asking for authentication:

Connect to <ip address>

SAP Web Application Server[<serv name>]

User name:

password:

If i give the login information of the BW system, it is not accepting. Before i change the password, there was no problem no proble, and the webtemplate was displyed in the cockpit, with asking above login information.

Could you explain me why it has happend? Does WAS login info and BW system login info are different?

Please let me know, if i need to change some thing in the BSP application.

Check in the popup the server name, to be sure you are actually talking to the correct server.

Authentication data is associated with the WebAS server, and has nothing to do with BW or BSP.

In the latest SPs, about 46+, there was a problem with userids where the password was changed. You can log this via OSS, so that the correct notes, etc can be attached. If this applies.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your information. I am trying to connect to another BW server. I have found in one of the BSP pages, that the Password of this server is hardcoded. I edited with the newpassword. Now it is working fine.
