Hi

With different MRP group I can see different display in MD04, for example with MRP group A, I can see there are 2 segments in MD04, one is gross requirement and the other is stock; with MRP group B, I can see there are many segments in MD04, each one corresponding to a SALES order.

I just wanna know where can i config this?

Thanks.

Hi,

All these segments are based on the planning strategy defined in the MRP 3 view of material master.

If strategy is 40 -MTS - Planning with final assembly- ther will not be any segment- means the stcok corresponds to unrestricted stock.

If strategy 11- Gross requirements planning- your available stcok in unrestricted use is not taken into account for MRP purpose.

If strategy 20 - Make to order( MTO) , then you will find an customer stock segment- meaning that this stock will not be used for other customers.

If strategy 50- planning without final assembly with MTO , you will find sales order segment.

If strategy 52- Planning with final assembly with MTS separete sales order segement will appear.

In your case depending on the materila planning strategy MRP group may be assigned.

+Note:Planning strategy can also be defined via MRP group+

Thanks,

nandha

hi

Actually we are using MRP Group instead of strategy. An customized strategy is assigned to MRP group. Could you guide me further where can I find the setting in the strategy config?

Hi,

Please note that strategy can be assigned directly or via MRP group.(See above reply)

SPRO->Production->Production Planning->Demand Mnagement->Planned independent requirements->Planning strategy->Define strategy.

Thanks,

Lauliu,

Strategy config can be found at OPPS. Custom strategies will also be found here.

Generally, once you are in the Ref IMG, you can use the search feature to find a particular configuration.

hi DB49

I know how to check the strategy settings, but we use a customized strategy and the requirement class is also customized, I just want to know which field exactly control the display of the MD04 view?

Could you guide me on this?

Lauliu,

I just want to know which field exactly control the display of the MD04 view?

There is no single field that controls the way MD04 displays requirements. As with everything in SAP, there are many factors that can have an fluence what you see in MD04.

Rather than continuing to enquire about theoretics that have no practical value, can you just describe the requirements of what you need to see displayed in MD04? Perhaps we can at least solve this problem.
