What is LBWQ?

Hi BW Gurus,

What is LBWQ?

What is the proper way to RE-INIT a transaction extractor such as 2LIS_03_VDITM?

Correct me if I am wrong...

1.) Delete Infocube contents

2.) Delete INIT Request in Info Package

3.) Delete RSA7 Entry

4.) Delete Queue in LBWQ

5.) Issue an INIT Request from InfoPackage...

-- Why is it the LBWQ keeps on collecting data even if my scheduled job is not running? What is its purpose?

Before executing point 5 you should also make a Set Up ... on R3 side (should be TCode OLI3BW).

Did you see Note 602260 - "Procedure for reconstucting data for BW", it's about Init in LO-Cockpit?

About LBWQ take a look on Weblog sections: there should be 3 helpful docs by Roberto Negro on LO Delta handle.

Hope it helps

Hi,

Doing some simple experiments, I finally arrived on what is the purpose of LBWQ. Please do correct me if I am wrong.

-- LBWQ is used to view collected transactions (w/c will then be populated to RSA7). The control is still in LBWE the moment you set the Status to ACTIVE for a particular data source, it starts to collect transactions. If you try to open one of the entries in LBWQ, you will notice that your can only see transaction dates, person who did the transaction and other info that contributes to some sort of TRANSACTION HEADER Pointer. Being a Header, it does not contain details. Now, if the JOB (the job you schedule using LBWE) executes, it reads the data from LBWQ and transfer them to RSA7. Now it depends if an active INIT Request has been performed on the data source. If none exist, the job deletes the collected info from LBWQ and hence lost. If an entry exists in RSA7, it checks if the incoming data from LBWQ is worthy to be a DELTA update base on the last INIT Request. If it is not, the data is dumped. If it is, the

entry in RSA7 increases.
