JCo RFC is not getting created by webdynpro

Hi All,

I am creating one simple leave application in webdynpro java. But after deploying the application successfully I am getting below exception. While I am checking from NWA I could not find any JCo created for that particular application. I have created the Jco manually in NWA content Administrator but it is not coming underthe particular application and hence getting the same error.

"The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was: (106) JCO_ERROR_RESOURCE: Destination WD_test_RFC_METADATA_DEST does not exist

... 70 more

See full exception chain for details.

Hint: Most browsers allow to select all content, copy it and then paste it into an empty document (e.g. email or simple text file). "

I am using SAP NW portal version 7.3 00

I have also copied the sapjco3.dll file in my windows directory.

Please suggest.

Thanks in Advance.

First check the JCO metadata connection with the test button in the Content Admin role -> WebDynPro tab, there you can find your all JCOu2019s destinations,

Check the JCOs. Whether these are configured properly or not?

Is the model getting imported properly?

JCOs are not reconfigured after you imported the model in your application.

Also check for the names whether you have used the right names or not?

    Hope this helps!!

    Hi Dhiraj,

check if you are using the same name of JCOs in your WDJ application , which you have created.

If this is fine then test JCO again

    Hello All

In addition to my before message - we are creating ARFC2. and for that Ihave created the two JCo destinations(one for application data and

another for meta data) in nwa/configuration manager/destinations with the

same name I used in NWDS during model creation. The ping connection

testing is also successful for this two destination created in nwa.

Still we are getting the same error.

Could you please confirm whether the below mentioned package is requiredin portal sever for ARFC2?

    Required Units of Software

    Software Component: HM-WDUIDMKTCNT

    Development Components: tc/wd/tut/model/arfc2

Thanks for your reply. But still wating for actual solution.
