Can anybody please confirm whether the idoc type that is to be used for inbound ASN (receiving advance shipping notification from vendor) is message type DESADV and the process code is DESA in the partner profile? If this is not right please let me know the correct one. We have the order confirmation key (AB) already in place. now i want to see the advance shipping notification get updated on the confirmations tab on the PO and in MD04. We are NOT usingg the inbound delivery functionality.
in hte partner profile in WE20 i cannot put DELVRY03 as the entry in message type field. So i put DESADV and and the process code is DELS. When i run with this i get ann error message when the IDOC is posted through WE19 is
Function module not allowed: IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1
Can you please help or share some thoughts on this. Or atleast the message type that i have to put in WE20 inbound parameters and the process code so that the ASN comes in just fine and updates the PO confirmations tab, we dont want to have the inbound delivery created. i have made sure in config that the inbound delivery does not get created. maybe as a questions, is creation of inbound delivery a mandatory thing to receive ASN from the vnedor?
