Anand,

Error:partner 10.21.80.23:sapmsBWD not reached

Means that the entry in the services file is not maintained. Please maintain the same and check.

You have to maintain an entry like sapms<SID> 3600/tcp check the port number in SMMS transaction code.

Cheers!

Hi Anand,

Try this:

Go to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services

Open services file with Notepad and write

sapmsBWQ 3600/tcp

This should be the first line where SAPMS starts. If it is DEV server, write:

sapmsBWD 3600/tcp.

It solved my problem.

Hope this Help full !!!

Regards,

Vijay

Although the problem can be solved by updating the local services file to link the message server name sapms<SID> and the port number, that needs doing on every user's PC. A 'better' solution is to fix the problem in the portal system definition for SAP_BW system. The values generated by the /nwa configuration wizard to connect BW java/ABAP is wrong. Person running the wizard does not enter value for the message server port, but, it is generated in SAP_BW portal system definition incorrectly by the wizard. In java system/portal go to System Administration > System Configuration and Search for system SAP_BW. Scroll down to the value Server Port and change the wizard generated value 'sapms<SID>' to the port number, so for example, change sapmsBWD to 3600. The 36nn port value is 36 follwed by the 2 digit system number for the BW ABAP system (same one as you see in your SAP logon pad).

Cheers,

James.
