Subsequent Update of PSA data from ABAP program

Hi,

I have a requirement where our naive user do not want to enter Admin workbench Jungle but want to update PSA data from my user interface.

Do anyone know how to update a PSA request into some data target from a ABAP program. Assume that I have request ID something like REQU_XXXX available in my program.

I cannot use BAPI which creates infopackage because this option(subsequent update) does not exists.

Best Regards,

Anil

    Hi,

I am not aware of any BAPI's for this. But the solution for this would be to create two infopackage and select one data target in each of them. Then use the program to schedule the load from PSA to Cube.

    Hi Anil,

You can use the function module "RSAWB_SINGLE_ODSREQ_PROCESS" in your ABAP program. Pass the request id as the input parameter. This should do the trick. Kindly update if this works or not.

      Hi Dinesh,

Thank you . This is definitely useful in situations where a request updates single or all data targets. In my case the same request has to update different data targets at different times.

For example I need to update the request with datatarget1 on step1 and after some other steps I update the same request but in another data target.

You know any BAPI's for this.

I am giving you the point.

      Anil

    Hi BW experts,

I approached this problem as follows:

    Create a process chain

Insert Subsuequet update of data from PSA process step

Insert a request number. SAP creates entries in Table RSPCVARIANT. I got this table through debugging.

I update this database table with the request number I have in my program. Then I raise a event to start this process chain.

    Should work right?
