Unable to maintain JCO Connections for Metadata

Hi,

This is a very basic problem. I am able to maintain JCO connections for the logical system to read application data but not the dictionary metadata. The ping to the server always fails.

Any suggestions as to what might be going wrong.

Thanks

Anand

    Hi Anand,

For both application and dictionary metadata are you using the Load balanced server.

Or for application data you are using a single application server.

    Hi,

I had asimilar problem and was solved by doing like what Raju Datla says.

Check the detailed message when you click "Test" insyead of ping. It will probably say "Unable to connect to message server <name>". If this is so then make sure you have put the entry for the message server in your X:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/services file.
