building service control for .net webservice

Hi,

I am currently looking into calling web services from SAP Portal 620,

Using eclipse IDE 2.1. I am able to call the Google web service as

mentioned in the help documentation of Java Developement link.

Now whenI am trying to create the same type of service control to

call .NET Platform based web service, Eclipse is not able to generate

the implementation method of service control from WSDL file. Following

is the code whichcomes as the implementation method of service control.

public com.mycompany.MyService.Get_UserWorkListSingleResponse

Get_UserWorkListSingle (

com.mycompany.MyService.Get_UserWorkListSingle parameters)

{

// TODO code here the implementation.

return null;

}

Please let me know do I need add some other files/plugins to build this

service.

Following is the software versions I am using.

Eclipse Platform Version: 2.1.0 Build id: 200303272130

6.0.2.3.7.Enterprise_Portal_Service_Pack_2

PlugIn used : Portal Archive Wizards for EP 60 SP2 (downloaded from

locally installed Portal)

Tanks in advance,

Vishal

    Hi,

    I am having the same problem as you.

    I actually got the furthest with the 1.16 plugin for eclipse (which generated all the proxy classes), but it failed during runtime with an exception stating that it could not find the serializer for my webservice call.

    I've got an OSS open with SAP but we are not able to solve it at the moment. It seems like you need to manually modifiy the wsdl file into a format that is more compatible with the eclipse plugin.

    Cheers

    Hello,

    First Point: How get the good portal plugin version which sync with my portal server

    please read the SAP Note No. 720205

    Second Point: The difference between the Portal Webservice Objects

    1. Create a Portal Webservice from a portal service :

    you have a portal service or will create a portal service , you want to publish some methods of your service by the webservice, you select this option

    2. Create a Portal Webservice from a WSDL:

    You would call a external webservice from the wsdl (on other webservice implementation) , you need to create a proxy client to call this webservice, select this option

    3. Create a Portal Webservice from a WSDL - Server Side :

    it is a special case when you want juste create a empty stub to implement the methods DON"T USE THIS if you want create a portal webservice from java (portal service) !

    Best Regards,

    FAbrice
