copy hierarchy

Hi All,

I have an infoobject 0material in one BW system. This 0material has a hierarchy assigned to it and has got many levels. i am trying to bring this infoobject with the hierarchy too, exactly as it is to my other bw. the rfc connections are set. there was a material in help.sap that it is possible to bring the structure by generating master data export datasource but i'm not clear with the procedure.

could anyone help me out please.

Thanks in advance.

First of all check the checkbox

'Characteristic is Export DataSource' on the Master Data/Texts tab of the InfoObject maintenance. When you activate the InfoObject a datasource 80MATERIALH is created (in addition to the datasources 80MATERIALM for attributes and 80MATERIALT for texts).

Now you need to have your BW as a source system in your second BW. When you replicate the data sources you will find the aforementioned data sources and you can assign them to the 0MATERIAL InfoObject.

    Best regards

    Dirk
