Develop enviroment

Hi,

I need to know which is a compliant and optmial develop enviroment.

I have installed tomcat5.5.4 with tomcat admin 5.5.4, tomcat_pdk_5_0_6_0, eclipse 2.1.3 and eclipse plugin to Enterprise Portals 6.0 SP2, jdk1.4.2_06 and libraries.zip.

I can get .par file from EP and open it using eclipse, i can modify the sources and i can build a new .par file and deploy it into EP but it doesn't works.

Can somebody help me? i am looking forward about any advice.

    Julian,

    as opposed to EP5, with EP6 a local environment based on tomcat is not possible and supported any longer. Thus, if you want to run your par files locally, you wil have to install a complete portal envirionment on your PC.

    Btw: Consider using JDK 1.3.1_xx rather than 1.4 on your development workstation, as EP6 SP2 itself also uses this release.
