Hello,
While trying to load a hierarchy I am getting following error message, "No Level can be calculated for Hierarchiy". This file contains 1,50,000 records. But I was able to load a file with 40,000 records in the same hierachy.
If, it an issue because of size of the file please suggest what can be done.
Thanks & Regards
Sumita

Note# 654243
Symptom
The hierarchy maintenance in BW is designed to edit hierarchies with up to 100,000 nodes. If the number of nodes is considerably higher, this may result in a short dump (depending on both the hardware and hardware settings used).
Even if the back end has enough resources, the tree control used is not suitable to display these hierarchies.

Reason and Prerequisites
Calling the hierarchy maintenance for a very large hierarchy
Solution
The hierarchy maintenance does not yet support the editing of hierarchies with considerably more than 100,000 nodes (if the hierarchy contains more than 100,000 nodes, this may result in performance bottlenecks culminating in a query termination; you should then reconsider the modeling of the scenario).

Hi,
Recently we were able to load around 35000 records through hierarchy.
Try to display more help(?) for the error from Monitor-details. The system must give you the line of flat file where nodeid could not be found. The possible error could be that the item might not have parenti id.
