Displying the "Report Result"-row in a query?

In my formula I base some calculation on the "Report Result" - the summation of a column. However - the Report Result isn't shown in the table and calculation is equal to 0. How can I activate/calculate the Report Result?

ps. The "result" and "overall result" are shown, is it possible to activate/deactivate those?

If this is in reference to your previous thread, does it mean that you are not getting any values in the SUMRT column?

If you do not want to see the "result" rows, you can suppress them either in the query designer (each characteristics' properties) or in the executed report (individually or for all characteristics)

As I understand it there are 3 types of results in a report; Result, Overall Result and Report Result.

From your comment I understand that I can suppress the "Result" in the properteis of the characteristic.

My questions are;

I can see the "Overall Result"-value at the last page of the report... but I can't see the "Report Result"-value, how come? Are these two result types based on the settings of the charatscteristics too?

Hi,

In a report, you can only see Result and Overall Result rows...nothing called Report Result. The Report Result is just a formula function and will deilver the values in a column, not in a row at the end of the report.

To remove the Overall Result row, you need to suppress result rows for all characteristics.

Hope this helps...

Bhanu is correct, does not tell the whole story.

If you suppress result rows for all characteristics, you will indeed suppress the Overall Result.

However ... IF you want to see results for SOME characteristics, but not see the Overall Result, you can so this.

The Overall Result is the result for the characteristic in the first column of the report. To suppress it you need only suppress results for this single characteristic.

Hi Daniel,

If you wish to calculate a percentage base from the Overall Result, there is an option when you right click the Keyfigures box "NEW FORMULA", there is a percentage share based from overall result function there.

If you mind, could I have the formula so that we could see how to approach a solution for that...
